Voice from Connie:
Testimonial: MaJo Art "Faux Marbling" workshop (Dec.5 & 19, 2005) I participated in MaJo Art's "Faux Marbling" workshops in Omotesando on Dec.5 & 19, 2005. I was interested in the faux marbling technique as I thought I might be able to apply some of it in some way to printmaking. Also, I found the concept of introducing various art techniques to be used in a visual journal very intriguing. The location where the workshops were held was very convenient. The number of participants was small -- just right. The instructors were well prepared. Instruction was done both in English and Japanese. We were shown the technique and given little packages with the material for us to work individually. It was very interesting to see how the same technique applied brought different results from each participant. I felt that the instructors were a good team, had a very natural rhythm with each other, which created a very comfortable, cheerful atmosphere. Both of them came around to pay individual attention, give praise and suggestions, and to clean up our messes as we were absorbed in our creative work. At the end of the workshop there was time allotted to show and share our little creations with each other. The time just flew by. Connie Koyama printmaker, Tokyo
